L’égalité des genres constitue une priorité à l’échelle mondiale, indissociable de ses efforts de promotion du droit à la santé et de son soutien à la réalisation des Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD). Dans le Cadre d’action santé 2030, l’ODD 3 vise à « permettre à tous de vivre en bonne santé et promouvoir le bien-être de tous à tout âge » et fait de la santé « une condition préalable, le résultat et un indicateur de tous les volets du développement durable » et l’ODD 5 vise à « parvenir à l’égalité des genres et autonomiser toutes les femmes et les filles ». L’adoption d’une perspective de genre pour augmenter la couverture vaccinale contribuera en particulier à atteindre les ODD 5 et 3.

How can you make a difference?

1. Promouvoir un suivi-évaluation sensible au genre et la redevabilité en faveur de l’égalité de genre.
2. Renforcer la planification, la programmation et la budgétisation sensibles au genre au sein du MSDS.
3. Accompagner le renforcement de l’institutionnalisation du genre au sein du Ministère en charge de la santé ainsi que la communication autour des activités du Comité institutionnel genre.
4. Soutenir le changement de comportement en faveur du genre, la lutte contre les stéréotypes et les violences basées sur le genre dans le secteur de la santé.
5. Développer et mettre en œuvre un plan de renforcement des capacités du MSDS aux niveaux centraux et décentralisée.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
