Within CIMR, the Institute for Medical Physiology (IMP) is striving to become an internationally recognized center for physiological research that powers modern medicine. We are recruiting multiple Principal Investigators to lead independent labs in a PI-centred, diverse and collaborative environment. Postdoctoral Fellow positions are open for early-career researchers eager to pursue cutting-edge projects within the same vibrant setting. We welcome exceptional scientists from all backgrounds to join us in these two complementary areas:
- Molecular, cellular, and systemic mechanisms underlying important physiological processes such as metabolism, immunity, respiration, and behavior.
- Technologies for physiological and medical research: gene editing, proximity labeling technology, gene therapy, and chemical biology technologies.

1. Principal Investigator Positions

- Assistant Investigator: Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, successful postdoctoral training experience, and have demonstrated the potential to establish a vibrant independent research program.
- Associate Investigator: The applicant should have experience establishing and running an independent lab in an internationally recognized academic institution.
- Senior Investigator: Senior applicants with a well-established record of research accomplishments are encouraged to apply.

Salary, Benefits, and Start-up Packages

2. Postdoctoral Fellow Positions
IMP invites outstanding postdoctoral candidates to join our research groups. You will carry out independent research under the PI’s guidance, help mentor graduate students, and draft grant proposals and manuscripts. Qualifications
a. A recent Ph.D./M.D. degree or about to complete a PhD./M.D. in life sciences, biomedicine, chemistry, Physics,computer science or related fields
b.First-author publication in a reputable journal (or accepted for publication).
c. Ability to conduct independent research, strong passion for science, rigorous attitude, and teamwork spirit.
d. Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and effective communication, including manuscript preparation.
