The International Center for Aging and Cancer (ICAC) is a non-for-profit scientific research institution jointly established by Hainan Medical University, the Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The center aims to advance the understanding of aging and cancer and reduce the increasing global burden of cancer as a disease of aging through innovative laboratory, translational, and clinical research.

ICAC is seeking outstanding Principal Investigators (PI) to conduct cutting-edge research in life sciences and translational research on aging and cancer. The newly recruited PIs are offered with internationally competitive salary and start-up package. In addition, ICAC offers advanced core facilities lead by professional scientists and dedicated administrative service.

Recruitment Positions

Faculty/Postdoctoral Fellow

(I) Faculty Positions

Research Focus: Key disciplines include, but are not limited to:

Oncology, Aging Biology, Hematology, Bioinformatics, Cell Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Regenerative Biomedicine, Basic Medicine, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, and related fields.

Position Requirements:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. degree, and several years of postdoctoral training or industrial experience with strong academic research capabilities aimed at addressing significant original scientific questions in fundamental frontiers and/or key core technologies. Candidates should have established a distinctive research direction within their field and achieved notable academic accomplishments.

Senior PI: Aiming at the cutting-edge scientific problems and/or core technologies, having established distinctive research direction in the related disciplines and with outstanding academic achievements.

Junior PI: Aiming at the original scientific problems and/or key technologies, having outstanding achievements equivalent to excellent post-doc in first-class universities or comparable research institutions.

Salary:

An internationally competitive salary package is offered, with an annual salary ranging from RMB 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 for senior PIs and RMB 500,000 to 600,000 for junior PIs (with income tax up to 15%).

Research start-up funds:

Senior PI: 6-8 million RMBJunior PI: 2 million RMB.

(II) Postdoctoral Fellow Positions

Possess a strong foundation in specialized knowledge, excellent communication skills, outstanding scientific aptitude, innovation potential, and a collaborative spirit. Demonstrate robust research capabilities, dedication, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Able to commit fully to the postdoctoral research position.

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual Salary: 350,000 – 450,000 RMB (pre-tax).

Rental/Housing Subsidy: Eligible full-time postdocs may apply for a monthly subsidy (current standard: 3,000 RMB/month, max 36 months), subject to Hainan Province/School policies.

Career Path: Outstanding full-time postdocs will be considered for faculty positions upon successful completion.
